BLINDNESS
The persistent failure to recover a lost sense of meaning compels the modern individual into imposed choices, trapping them in a relentless cycle of desire, uncertainty, and denial—a cycle endured in the hope of making the weight of everyday life more bearable.
The human being, either stranded without direction or stalled upon the path, submits to the fixed structures that surround them. Even the trajectory of their movement within these imposed frameworks is governed and sustained by forces external to themselves.
In this interactive installation, the viewer physically takes control of the world within the display. Humans trapped in rooms, disconnected from consciousness, surrender the viewer's mind to move in any direction, left or right. The angular position of the rotating mechanism, connected to the chain and gear that sets the display in motion, is digitized by electronic sensors, mirroring the angular position of the room in the image through the physical movements of the display. Simultaneously, a gravity simulation takes place on the 3D model of humans.
